Johan Hedberg – CEO & President

As CEO of CLX Communications since 2012, Johan Hedberg is responsible for overseeing the company’s growth and maintaining overall efficiency within the organization.

He has over 15 years experience in the mobile messaging industry. Prior to co-founding CLX Networks Johan was Head of Messaging at Ericsson and in various sales and business development positions at Mblox. Johan co-founded CoTraveller, a start-up in the wireless industry, in 2000 and before that worked as a management consultant. He has a strong track record from working with rapidly growing businesses. Johan holds an MSc in Engineering from the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology.

Robert Gerstmann – Managing Director

Robert Gerstmann is the MD for CLX Communications and responsible for driving growth and overall efficiency in the organization.

He has an extensive international grounding and 15 years of experience within the mobile and IT sector. Prior to co-founding CLX Networks, Robert has held commercial management positions at Mblox as the director of the global mobile messaging business line and Netgiro/Digital River. Robert holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Linköping Institute of Technology.

Joakim Boalt – Chief Operating Officer

Joakim Boalt is COO and responsible for the daily operation of the company including development, service operations and client support.

Joakim has close to two decades of mobile industry experience from both the application and infrastructure spaces. Joakim has previously worked with product management and service deployment at companies such as Aspiro and Mblox. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology.

Bruce Bales – VP Operations, North America

As VP of Operations, Bruce has responsibility for customer services, network operations, product, and carrier management for North America and works closely with many of our largest customers and strategic partners.

Bruce’s experience in the telecommunications and messaging industry spans over thirty years and includes technical and business leadership positions with Glenayre Technologies, the Octel messaging division of Lucent Technologies, and AT&T/Bell Laboratories. Bruce graduated from Kansas State University with a double major in Math and Computer Science and has been granted 36 U.S. patents.

Petter Bengtsson – VP Messaging

Petter Bengtsson is VP Messaging and responsible for CLX Communications in North America.

Petter has a strong international background in telecoms with local experience from many parts of the world. He gained his experience within the mobile industry mainly at Ericsson where he held various sales roles and also successfully designed and ran integration projects with numerous operators. Before joining CLX he was responsible for Ericsson’s provision portfolio in Middle East and Africa. Petter holds an MSc in Engineering from the Linköping Institute of Technology.

Pedro Carmo e Silva – VP Operator Relations

Pedro Carmo e Silva is VP Operator Relations and responsible for all CLX activities with mobile operator partners globally.

He has 15 year’s experience from fast growing companies in the international telecommunications industry. Before joining CLX Pedro headed up of the quality assurance business unit at Ascade, later CSG International, taking CSG’s SMS and voice testing tools from launch to being the standard testing solution for telecom communication providers worldwide. As part of the Ascade management team he was also closely involved in CSG’s acquisition of Ascade in 2013. Pedro holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology.

Jonas Lindeborg – VP Engineering

As VP of Engineering, Jonas Lindeborg has responsibility for the CLX infrastructure and development of our in-house tools, ensuring we can offer customers the very best in products and services.

Jonas has over 25 years of software development and management experience from a range of businesses, from tech start-ups to Fortune 100 global companies. In 2000, Jonas joined Symbian, where he was responsible for the UIQ Technology software development team, growing it from a handful of engineers into a global 380 person organization delivering the UI and app platform for Sony Ericsson and Motorola smartphones. Jonas joined Mashmobile in Lund, Sweden in 2008 and was part of the team Mblox acquired in 2010. In 2016 Mblox was acquired by CLX and become the VP of Engineering. Jonas holds an MBA in Leading Innovation from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Rob Malcolm – VP Marketing & Online Sales

Rob Malcolm is responsible for global marketing, branding and thought leadership at CLX Communications and all online sales.

Rob has held a variety of roles in mobile messaging industry throughout his career and had built a wealth of expertise in the technology and messaging sector. After 15 years at Mblox, holding management positions ranging from Sales, Engineering to Commercial Operations, Rob joined CLX following the acquisition in 2016. As a board member for the MEF, Rob is highly active in shaping the industry and often contributes in blogging and speaking events on innovation in messaging. Rob holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa.

Kristian Männik – VP Growth

Kristian Männik is responsible for developing and implementing structured and data-driven growth strategies at CLX

Kristian has more than 15 years of international business experience in the IT and mobile industry. Kristian has previously held sales management positions at Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecom, Kabira Technologies (now Tibco), Mblox and Electronic Arts. In 1997 he co-founded SKILL. Kristian holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Linköping Institute of Technology.

Neil Warner – VP Sales EMEA & APAC

As VP Sales, Neil Warner is responsible for revenue growth and new customer acquisition in the EMEA and APAC region.

Neil has extensive experience in various technical roles with McAfee, HSBC Bank and Sainsbury’s and has over ten years of industry experience within Mobile Messaging. Prior to joining CLX Networks he ran the Global Service Management and Technical Account Management teams at Mblox.

Lena Oldberg – HR Director

Lena Oldberg has been managing HR for CLX since 2013, through a period of extensive growth and change. She is responsible for overseeing people matters globally and for ensuring an excellent experience for CLX employees.

She has 12 years of experience of HR in fast-paced, knowledge intensive environments. Before joining CLX, Lena held various positions within HR in the pharmaceuticals industry, at GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis. Lena has a BSc in Human Resources Management from the University of Gothenburg.
